 January 2026 Art Exhibition

7artscafe, Yokohama’s unique fusion of a superfood-focused café and community art gallery, is delighted to announce its featured exhibition for January 2026, showcasing new works by Anastasia Butacova. This exhibition opens the year with a vibrant collection that reflects 7artscafe’s mission to foster meaningful artistic exchange and bring creativity into everyday life.

Artist Statement
“I Will Paint in Color While It Snows” explores the ability of art to warm the spirit during winter’s quiet stillness. As Japan welcomes January snow, these works invite visitors to bring color, emotion, and imagination into the season. The exhibition features a selection of small and large pieces that capture poetic, intimate moments through Butacova’s signature blend of rich color and graceful simplicity.

About the Artist

Anastasia Butacova is a visual artist known for merging bold color fields with tender figurative elements. Born in Moldova and working between Europe and the United States, she creates paintings rooted in emotional storytelling and the beauty of everyday life. Her work invites viewers to experience color as a universal language of connection and feeling.

Each month, 7artscafe welcomes a diverse lineup of artists from Japan and around the world, supporting the idea that art should be accessible, inviting, and woven into daily experience. We are proud to begin 2026 with Butacova’s inspiring body of work and warmly welcome both longtime patrons and first-time visitors to enjoy art alongside our signature superfood menu.

The public is invited to visit throughout January to view the exhibition, engage with the artwork, and explore the cafe's seasonal offerings. Additional details will be announced soon, including a series of special Saturday workshops led by Butacova.
